The international carbon sequestration project is a joint initiative between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United Nations Development Program and the Global Environment Facility, whose global goal is to reduce greenhouse gases and the effects of climate change, national goal, is to combat desertification and, at the regional level, is to improve the quality of Rural communities life through micro financing the poor people, and providing skilled and practical training to diversify their income. Therefore, the main goal of this study was to study the role of microfinance on the rural women’ quality of life as the main target audience for International Carbon Sequestration Project in South Khorasan Province. The statistical population was all rural women belonging to micro-credit funds in Sarbisheh County with 313 people. The sample size was calculated to 188 using Cochran formula and selected through random sampling method. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data whose validity was confirmed by a committee of experts and its reliability was confirmed by calculating the Cronbach's alpha coefficient to more than 0.7. Data analysis was done by IBMSPSS21 software. The results showed that the most impact of micro financing was on the environmental aspects of rural women's living and then on the social and economic dimensions of their life respectively. Also, membership in microfinance funds has led women to earn more income and increase the number of women with independent fiscal revenues. The results of regression analysis also indicated that "the number of employment created," "perceived adequacy of microfinance", "the number of training courses" and "monthly income from occupation" had a significant effect on the rural women quality of life, while "the number Training courses" was known as the strongest predictor of rural women's quality of life.
