Abstract

The context of social relations must be considered when interpreting any economic action or institution. This has a significant effect on the economic actions of all actors, leading to the emergence of individual and collective actions. Unfortunate outcomes will ensue if we regard them as autonomous issues. Consequently, this article endeavors to investigate the extent of structural embeddedness among Ardabil city marketers and the factors that influence it.
The current study employs a survey methodology that employs a standard questionnaire that was developed by the researcher. The sampling method is a stratified sampling method proportional to the volume, and using the Cochran formula, 378 Ardabil city marketers were selected and studied as the sample size.
The descriptive analysis revealed that the average structural embeddedness of Ardabil municipal marketers' transactions is 74 percent. The model’s results suggest that economic anomie (0.176), business history (0.17), instrumental rationality (0.092), and social trust (0.069) are the factors that influence structural embeddedness. The structural equation model that was fitted is a suitable model for elucidating the changes in structural embeddedness of the bazaars in Ardabil city. It significantly explained 0.08 percent of the changes.
These observations enhance comprehension of the social contexts in which economic actions are situated and underscore the necessity of additional investigation into these dynamics in economic sociology.
